It wasn't until we stopped and thought about it recently, that was realised the Asgard Academy is over 3 years old! Its incredible as to how fast that time has gone.
For those of you who have just discovered us - 'welcome' - but for those of you who have been with us from the start, or even for a few months now, will know that as great as the old Asgard Academy website was - it was just not longer working how we needed it to.
Alot of the coding was outdated and behind the scenes, setting up a new student (from the point you press the enrol button) was an entirely manual process - which took up ALOT of time.
Having spent vast amounts of hours searching through various online e-learning platforms, and after playing around with the settings in 2 or 3 of those, we finally figured out that the LearnWorlds platform could be made to work exactly how we needed it to - with a few tweaks here and there.
So what has changed in our new home? Well, from a students/user perspective - the design has very much changed. On the admin part though, SO much has now been automated - and we are loving it.
Not only does it mean we can get you your queries and enquiries quicker and easier, but on this new platform, the students can also interact with each other. This platform will also be able to host our Audio and Video classes - yes, you read that right (they are in plan for the future).
All in all - we hope that you love the new platform as much as we do. Instead of taking up time focusing on the back-office work - we can spend more time creating new classes and exciting content instead. Bonus!!
On a side note - if you are an existing student, please bear with us while we attempt to port your details across to the new platform - including class access, materials and completed courses.
